1989 – E Arrow Connected P Ranch
While on this ride on Erion’s place, the CAA members in attendance enjoyed access to the whole of the Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park, Colorado.

1988 – Valley Garden Ranch
This Ennis, Montana ranch hosted a CAA Trail Ride full of activities such as a tour of Yellowstone National Park in historical park buses, a cattle drive to the Madison River, roping events, trophy fishing at a private lake, visits to Virginia City and Nevada City, and a buffalo jump. The CAA also attended the Ennis Rodeo, and on the fourth of July, participated in a parade.

1987 – CAA Painting And Sketching Rendezvous
Because the 1987 CAA Trail Ride would occur later in the year than usual the CAA still needed to get together at the usual time of year as previous trail rides to conduct their annual business meetings; which is how they came up with the idea of holding their first painting and sketching rendezvous. The artists gathered at Bill Owen’s ranch near Dewey, Arizona, for a barbeque and a visit to Prescott’s George Phippen Memorial Museum; and then traveling to the Pine Flat Cattle Company ranch headquarters near Williams, Arizona, known as the Z Hanging J Ranch. The ranch is surrounded by leased acreage in the Kaibab and Prescott national forests that rises as high as 7,500 feet and drops to 3,500 feet at the Verde River near Perkins.

1987 – Hawaiian Islands
In 1987, with the help of Ted Dillingham, a group of the CAA’s went on their Annual Trail Ride much later in the year; after the CAA Show in Phoenix in October. The artists visited some typically Hawaiian ranches in the Kona District; starting early their first day with a tour of the Parker Ranch Museum followed by a trip to the Gunderson-Parker Ranch. They also toured the Kahua, Ponoholo, Keipu Ki, Kea Hou, Kipu Kau Ranches: a luau was served on the Hue Hue Ranch’s Kona Beach, and one day was spent on the Hale Kea Farms Ranch at a Hawaiian-style rodeo. Pat Haptonstall and Ray Swanson attended their first CAA Trail Ride.

1986 – Figure Three Ranch
This CAA Trail Ride took place on Charles Goodnight’s original JA Ranch, in the Palo Duro Canyon in Claude, Texas. Twenty-six CAA members attended and it was the first CAA Trail Ride for David Halbach.

1985 – Vermejo Park Ranch
This no-host CAA Trail Ride was held for the second time on this ranch in New Mexico, and was attended by new CAA members Herb Mignery and Bob Pummill. Vermejo, a unique combination of working cattle ranch and hunting and fishing preserve, is part of an original Spanish land grant. The vast size of more than three hundred ninety thousand acres straddles two states, and remains one of the largest blocks of privately owned land in the nation.
1984 – Haythorn Land & Cattle Co. – Figure Four Ranch
The CAA helped the Haythorn’s celebrate the ranch’s centennial in the Nebraska sand hills near Arthur.

1983 – Kokernot O 6 Ranch
Three new CAA members attended their first ride on this historic ranch located at Alpine, Texas; Gary Carter, Mehl Lawson, and Ken Riley.

1982 – Quarter Circle Five Ranch
This is the second time the CAA Trail Ride would be hosted by Schwabacher at his Wyoming ranch along the Green River of Father De Smet fame; where six sons and one grandson of active CAA members joined in.

1981 – Yo Ranch
This would be the second time the CAA would enjoy a CAA Trail Ride on this ranch in Mountain Home, Texas. This time, all twenty-four active members were in attendance.

1980 – Flying D And Spanish Creek Ranches
Bob Shelton hosts his second CAA Trail Ride, but this time on his Flying D and Spanish Creek ranches near Gallatin Gateway, Montana. It would be the first CAA Trail Ride for Howard Terpning.
