
Bill Owen has been named one of the 2010 Arizona Culturekeepers Honorees. Arizona Culturekeepers is a program designed to celebrate Arizonans who have made a positive impact on the Grand Canyon State’s history, culture, environment and/or economy. They are pioneers of the state because of their entrepreneurial spirit, civic leadership and outstanding contributions. The Arizona Culturekeepers is done in conjunction with the Sharlot Hall Museum, Arizona Historical Society, Historian Marshall Trimble and The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa.
Owen was selected for this honor for his authentic portrayal of Arizona history through his art. Owen and nine others who positively impact the state will be honored at the Arizona Culturekeepers Induction Luncheon at Kierland Resort in Scottsdale on Sunday, Sept. 19. 2010.
