From remote ranch houses to swank urban high-rises, the paintings and sculpture of the Cowboy Artists of America have become a permanent part of our contemporary culture. The Cowboy Artists of America was founded in 1965 by four like-minded Arizona artists who shared a deep and abiding affection for the American West. The Cowboy Artists were the vanguard of a contemporary western art movement which became a cultural phenomenon that has flourished for more than four decades. The group’s annual Sale & Exhibition is acknowledged as the premier event in the context of western culture.
