The CAA web site becoming a reality would not have been possible without the help of many.

Thank you,

LaVonne Ewing of Image Resource
LaVonne is the artist who creates the annual CAA catalog which is available at the Cowboy Artists of America Show & Exhibition held at the Phoenix Art Museum each October.

When this site was only an idea, she agreed to provide the images and other information you see on the active CAA members' individual pages, and other locations throughout the site, and to provide the images necessary to update the site each year in order to keep the site current with the catalog and show.

Her generosity in sharing her work for the CAA site is an unselfish act, which was, and will continue to be greatly appreciated.

Men's Arts Council (MAC)
The Men's Arts Council is a volunteer, not for profit, 501 (c) 3 organization of business men from the metropolitan Phoenix area organized to support specific programs and activities of the Phoenix Art Museum, and to fund endowments for the acquisition of art for the permanent collections of the museum.

The annual Cowboy Artists of America Show & Exhibition is the major event of three produced by Men's Arts Council, whose familiar name to most is "MAC".

CAA very much appreciates this organization and the working relationship the two organizations enjoy; and especially appreciates the 2004 MAC President, Steve Todd. Steve was, and is, extremely supportive of CAA and of the CAA website in many ways; providing expert advice and encouragement, as well as the images of the 2003 award-winning art used in the flash presentation available on the home page.

Steve recognized the need for and the importance of this project and was instrumental in getting the word out to the public before and after the site went online.

Scott Usher and Wendy Wentworth
of Greenwich Workshop, Inc.
Scott and Wendy, in addition to others working behind the scenes at Greenwich, provided data used for the Emeritus and Deceased members' individual pages; as well as other information used on the site, such as the beautiful history of how the CAA organization came to be, written by Don Hedgpeth.

They did so much of the work for this site when they agreed to share much of the data they so painstakingly gathered for the beautiful book they published in 2002, Cowboy Artists of America .

Red Steagall
Red Steagall, the "Official Cowboy Poet of Texas," was inducted into the Hall of Great Westerners at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in 2003.

As an Honorary Member of the CAA who often entertains around the campfire on the annual CAA Trail Ride; it is befitting that the flash presentation of the award-winning pieces of art from the annual CAA Show are set to Red singing his song, "My America". Just listen to those words - beautiful perfection.

Don Hedgpeth
Don Hedgpeth is also an Honorary Member of the CAA, and he has a talent for painting a picture in a different way. His pen on paper creates a masterpiece of words making the readers senses come alive; seeing, feeling, hearing whatever he has described.

His "Sonora, Sedona, and Since", chronicling the history of the CAA, tells the story as it has never been told; and the poem he wrote for his buddies, "To All My CA Pals" - well, it says it all.

Cowboy Artists of America
And last but not least, thank you to the CAA Members; past, present, and those who have gone before us for allowing this site to be created.

Any and everyone who views this site will be privileged to enjoy a small sampling of the fabulous art these artists have created. They have made our world a better place and we look forward to their future creative endeavors.
